Items we must have on file prior to your dogs arrival:

A completed GDPR form, boarding contract and booking in form.  Photos of persons you nominate to drop off and collect your dog; the dog’s vaccination card showing that they are up to date with their annual booster.  Dogs only must also be up to date with their annual kennel cough. Please note the kennel cough vaccine that goes up the dogs nose must be given at least 2 weeks prior to arrival at the kennels.  The injectable kennel cough vaccine must be given a month prior to your dog coming into the kennels the first time they have this type of vaccine as it is administered in two parts which are two weeks apart.  The year after your dog will only need one injectable booster of the kennel cough but we still require this to have been administered at least 2 weeks prior to boarding.  If your dog is attending day boarding then it must wait the appropriate amount of time before they recommence with their day boarding.  We also accept an up to date titre test and or a vets letter confirming there is a medical reason why your dog cannot have a specific vaccination.  The vaccination card MUST include the pets microchip number, address and details to prove that card belongs to that animal.  Please text or Whatsapp a photo of the card to the Longmeadow Pet Hotel Ltd. mobile number on:  07436547384 so it can be downloaded to your dogs file. A 24 hour emergency contact name and number must be provided.

Beds, bedding, toys etc:

We do supply all beds, bedding, toys, treats and food if we can easily obtain same from the wholesalers.  If there is a specific brand that we do not carry then please pick an alternative or bring your own food in disposable bags. If bringing your own food bring the appropriate scoop.

Items we do not need:

Own bowls, leads, collars and harnesses, brushes, insurance details (dogs are insured for the duration of their stay, only pre-existing conditions are excluded)

Worming and deflea:

All dogs must be up to date with their worming and de-flea programme. We require the date of their last worm and deflea each time you visit.  The method you choose is up to you (ie chemical or natural) as long as it is effective.   If fleas are found on your dog you will be charged for the associated costs of clearing, cleaning and deflea of the whole area concerned including costs of the chemicals we will have to use to undertake this task

Medicines:

New laws have been brought in so say we can only dispense drugs in their original packaging and as per the vets instructions on the packaging.  We cannot dispense over the counter human drugs to dogs i.e. antihistamines as per the new laws.

Please note – for their own benefit all new or nervous dogs MUST BE brought into the hotel before 12 noon so they have ample time to settle in with us. Please think of their wellbeing.  Also as they walk away please do not make a fuss and prolong their departing as it may contribute to your own and consequently the animals stress levels. Just slip our lead on, remove your dogs harness or lead and their collar and then let them walk off quickly and happily.
