DO YOU WALK THE DOGS?

Yes, all dogs are walked individually (unless from the same household) at least am and pm daily.  We have various secure areas we can use that cater for the different dogs wants, needs and personalities.  The Model licence conditions states that each dog must be exercised for twenty minutes twice a day.  This is of course age, ability and weather dependent and we have differing policies and protocols in place to ensure the minimum requirements are not only met but bettered taking into account the individual needs of that dog.  Basically we start exercising as we open up in the morning and continue throughout the whole day.

HOW MUCH AND HOW DO I PAY?

Dog Boarding Standard rate for 1 dog £32.00

Dog Boarding Standard rate for 2 dogs £52.00

Dog Boarding Standard rate for 3 dogs £70.00

Dog Daycare rate £22.00

You can pay by cash if you make an appointment to come and see us.  By internet bank transfer, our details can be found on the payments page found here.  All stays need to be paid in advance.

*Rates differ over Christmas and New Year periods

DO I NEED TO PAY NOW?

Due to a large number of customers making bookings and then failing to turn up on the day (losing the business thousands of pounds over the season) I have had to take the decision to stop taking deposits to secure the boarding place and to ask for the full  boarding fee in advance to secure the space.

We require a £50 none transferable none refundable booking fee per dog per booking should your booking fee be greater than £100 in total. Should your booking be £100 in total or less we require payment in full at the time of booking.

WHAT DOES MY ANIMAL EAT AND DO I NEED TO BRING ITS OWN FOOD?

We stock all of the major brands and will continue to feed what you feed at home. If it is a more unusual brand or one that is not available at our wholesalers we can provide a quality substitute or you are welcome to bring your own.  Please note that we can provide a raw diet at an additional cost or you are welcome to bring your own raw food.  If you are bringing your own raw please remember to bring a defrosted meal for the first night.

DO YOU CATER FOR RAW DIETS?

Yes we do but we ask that you weigh and bag each meal for each animal and we will store the food in our freezers and defrost and feed.  No large bones as we are unable to stand with the dog for a longer period and will not leave a dog unattended with bones.  Alternatively we can provide the raw meat for you at an additional charge per day.  The price of providing raw differs as it will go on the the weight of your dog and will no doubt be comparable to what you pay per day to feed your dog at home.

IS MY ANIMIAL INSURED WHILE WITH YOU?

Yes we use Petplan Sanctuary for animals whilst they are in our care.  We are also insured for animals in transit should we need to take your animal to our vets. Please note that for dogs with previous health conditions that particular condition or complications arising from that condition are not covered by our insurance.

ARE ALL KENNELS INSPECTED?

Yes, all kennels and catteries operate under what is known as the Model licence conditions.  We get inspected annually by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council.  A copy of our in date licence is clearly visible on our reception wall.

ARE ALL KENNELS INSURED?

Yes all kennels, catteries and grooming parlours must be insured to trade.  We are insured for Public liability, employers liability and all animals in our care are fully insured too.  Kennels and catteries cannot ask you for an additional amount on top of their boarding fee to cover insurance as they legally have to have it to trade.  Should your animal have a pre-existing medical condition then it must be covered under your own insurance.

WHICH VETS DO YOU USE?

if you animal needs to be taken to the vets whilst it is in our care and it does not have any complicated medical history we will attend our own local vets which is Evolution Animal Care, White Lane, Thorne.  If you require us to take the animal to your own vets (and it is not an emergency) then this needs to be discussed and agreed in advance.  Please note that due to GDPR you now have to give your vets permission to speak to us even in an emergency so dont forget to ensure this important detail is agreed with your vet and a note is put onto your pets file

CAN I BRING BELONGINGS?

Yes but due to the volume of dogs we look after on a daily basis we ask you to only bring one item with you.  Usually a safe toy or an unwashed item of the owners clothing.  Please do not bring anything that you would be upset if it gets lost or damaged. If you want to sleep in an old tshirt a couple of nights before then your pheromones will seep into the material and the dog will smell you more and be comforted if it is their first time away from you or the dog is a little nervous with new surroundings.  The bedding we use is Vetbed Gold  as no fleas, ticks or pollen can embed into the weave of the fabric/backing and should dogs have an accident then urine does not seep back through to the dog and they remain dry.  We also use Flectabeds which transfer heat back into the dogs body as they lie on the specially created inner.  They are really cosy!  Both products are available from Petlife International.  The bedding is place on vented plastic beds.  We can also use non-slip flat memory foam type mats for dogs who have difficulty getting up if you wish. Hi beds are also used from Samson Products.

MY PET HAS A SPECIAL DIET. CAN THEIR NEEDS BE ACCOMMODATED?

Should you be worried about your pets diet or wish to discuss diet due to a medical condition for instance then please contact us on the work mobile so we can talk in more detail about your pets requirements and hopefully then work out a plan that will cover your pets needs.

You are welcome to bring your pets own food in its origional packaging (or individually bagged per meal) but make sure you bring their usual scoop for ease as we we do not have the time to individually weigh every single meal for each dog twice or three times a day.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND A HYDROTHERAPY CENTRE FOR MY DOG?

Highwood Canine Hydrotherapy near Misson is fantastic.  I have used them for my own dogs in the past and would not hesitate to recommend.  They are professional and ensure they are always in the pool or treadmill with the dogs as per current guidelines

HOW LONG ARE THE DOGS TAKEN OUT OF THEIR KENNEL?

The model license conditions specifies 20 minutes twice a day so that is the minimum requirements.

We start at around 7am daily and just continue to get all of the dogs out in rotation throughout the day so surpass the requirements as our ratio of dogs to staff is 1 to 10. Not 1 to 15 which is the higher requirements or 1 to 25 which is the minimum requirements.
