Nutrition
A well-fed dog is a happy dog and we can cater for all dietary requirements although we do ask that more specialist diets associated with medical conditions are discussed prior to booking so we have full knowledge of exactly what is needed and both the staff and the owner can feel secure in the knowledge we are equipped to deal with every eventuality.

All the usual branded commercial food that can be easily obtained from the wholesalers (both wet and or dry) is included in the price of boarding. Specialist and prescription food needs to be provided by the owner. We can cater for raw diets at an additional cost or you are welcome to bring your own. We have on site fridges and freezers for storage.

Wellbeing & Welfare
We all love going on holiday but for some encountering new and strange surroundings can be a daunting experience. We want guests at Longmeadow Pet Hotel Ltd to feel immediately at home so we encourage owners to bring with them one item from home (a safe toy or an unwashed shirt from the owner) so their dog feels as comfortable and relaxed as possible. At Longmeadow Pet Hotel Ltd we care passionately about our guests and will treat your dog as our own giving it all the attention it needs to ensure it settles in quickly and enjoys its time with us to the full.
Enjoying time with us might include a session in our Spa where guests can enjoy grooming, bathing and manicuring services but please note this must be booked separately well in advance with Lianne on 07436 547382.

Security & Safety
The security and safety of guests is of paramount importance to us. We have CCTV cameras throughout the whole of the site which are recording with sound 24 hours a day. We also have a monitored doorbell at reception which captures every visitor. Pets are not allowed to be dropped off or picked up without an appointment and we ensure we have the name, contact number and photograph of every person who has permission to drop off and collect each pet.

Medication
New laws have been brought in so say we can only dispense drugs in their original packaging and as per the vets instructions on the packaging. We cannot dispense over the counter human drugs to dogs i.e. antihistamines as per the new laws.

Vaccinations
We want all the animals in our care to remain healthy. Although we all understand about airbourne viruses (not much we can do about those peksy varmints) we take steps to ensure that we protect our visitors from disease as far as practically possible. We cannot therefore admit any guest to Longmeadow Pet Hotel Ltd who is not up-to-date with their vaccinations. Please note that we do also accept in date titre tests.
Prior to arrival we will require evidence that dogs have been vaccinated for the following;

Distemper

Hepatitis

Leptospirosis

Canine Parvovirus

Bordetella (kennel cough)
Be aware that it is the owners responsibility to ensure that their pet is up to date with all its boosters and kennel cough (please note that the kennel cough vaccine MUST BE given at least 14 days prior to admission onto the premises as it is a shedding vaccine.)
We do not want you to be in a position where you present your pet on the day of your holiday only to be told that they cannot board with us as the vaccinations or titre test is not up to date. It is not your vets or our responsibility to check this detail prior and we cannot be held responsible for not being able to board your pet in these circumstances.

Card must show in date vaccinations and kennel cough or an in date titre test. Vaccinations must be done annually or as advised by their vet. A letter from the vet stating medical exemption is also accepted
